Why Mapa Societario now asks for a free account
What changes, why, and what stays the same.
What changes and when
Soon, searching for names will stay free and will not ask for an account. Without an account you can open 5 profiles or people a day. With a free Pro account you get full profiles, the relationship map and path search, with generous limits for normal research (see below).
Why
Mapa Societario works only with public data from the BORME, Spain's official commercial registry gazette. Our work is to extract it, structure it, connect it and check its accuracy, which adds value to the original dataset. Today we offer the result free of charge.
For it to stay reliable, it has to be accessed legitimately: not copied in bulk, nor altered or mixed with other sources and then presented in a way that distorts reality, or even citing us as the source.
We already block these copying attempts, but the current checks also get in the way of people who use the service in good faith: the classic case of the actions of a few harming the interests of many. A free account lets us give people who research free access without repeated checks, and limit or block those who abuse it.
What we ask for
- A verified email with a code, or your Google or Microsoft account (they give us only your name and email).
- Your email is used only for the account and service notices. Never for marketing, and never shared.
- You can delete your account at any time.
What you can do with and without an account
Without an account
- Search the names of companies and people, without limit.
- Open up to 5 different companies or people a day (full profile or expansion on the map). Going back to one you already opened that day does not count, and neither does a single click to look at a node on the map.
- See the governing body, current and former: directors, board members, liquidators and the representatives of directors that are companies. To see apoderados (attorneys-in-fact), auditors and other roles outside the governing body you need a free account.
- Buy a report.
With a free account
- Up to 50 different companies a day as a full profile.
- Every role published in the BORME.
- Path search between companies or people: 10 a day.
- Need more for professional or institutional use? Write to us and we will extend your account.
How we check that we do not keep your searches
What does not change
- Each company's public page stays open, with its basic facts.
- Buying a report remains possible without an account.
Price
The account is free during early access. If a paid plan arrives, we will announce it in advance and nothing will ever be charged without your consent.
